Lil' Lambs is one of Marietta's longest running church consignment sales. We have been around for more than 15 years. We sell quality, gently-used children's clothes and toys, as well as maternity clothes, children's books and videos and nursery items. Lil' Lambs is a great place to give your child's outgrown clothes a new home (and make a little money, too).
Lil' Lambs is overseen by Marietta FUMC church staff and run by a dedicated group of church members. If you are an FUMC church member who wants to become more involved in Lil' Lambs, please contact us.
Lil' Lambs is operated solely by volunteers. It takes about 400 people over the course of one week to run the sale. Without the people in our church and in our community who so willingly give of their time, this sale would not exist. We truly appreciate every one of our volunteers! If you have never worked our sale, please consider volunteering at the next sale.
As you probably noticed, this is a consignment sale. As the consignor, Lil' Lambs keeps 30% of the selling price of each item; Sellers (consignees) receive the remaining 70%. Lil' Lambs gives 100% of the proceeds to Marietta First United Methodist Church. The proceeds are split equally between 3 ministries: The Good Samaritan Fund, Weekday Ministry and Children's Ministry. The Good Samaritan Fund is a discretionary fund used to help the needy in our community. Weekday and Children's ministry use the money to provide scholarships to preschool and maintain our playgrounds, as well as buy new classroom equipment or paint or whatever is needed at the time.
The $5 seller/early shopping fee is the only money that goes back into Lil' Lamb. That money is used solely to help meet our operating costs, including paying for worker childcare and advertising. To completely meet our operating costs, we rely on the generous donations of various Sunday School classes and church organizations.
