Playground Header

The new playground at Marietta First Methodist was constructed over the Summer of 2000, and replaces our previous wooden play equipment with colorful metal and plastic structures from Miracle Recreation Equipment Company in Monett, Missouri.

Bringing the playground dream into reality took the hard work & support of people throughout the church. In addition to raising funds through commemorative, engraved brick sales, Lil' Lambs, Weekday Ministry, & the Children's Ministry of Marietta First dedicated their share of funds from the Lil' Lambs sale toward the playground fund. The result is a fantastic new and colorful playground!

The playground has been engineered with different play areas for specific ages of children, from toddlers to elementary-age kids. We ask that children play on the equipment we have designated for their age:

The playground is open to the public, although certain periods are reserved for Sunday School & Weekday Ministry preschool.

The playground is open to the public:
Sunday-Friday after 1:30pm
and all day Saturday.

Of course, Weekday is occasionally closed, such as during most as public school holidays (although not neccesarily during teacher work days!) The playground would not normally be reserved during such holidays, though you may want to call the Weekday office at (770) 427-3809 to be sure before coming during reserved times.

In addition, the Playground has the following rules that we ask you to observe:

The large playground sits right next to our very large playing field, which is big enough for any group sport or activity. Bring your family for a picnic while your children explore the intricate details of the playground!

Next to the playground and the field, we have recently added outdoor basketball courts. These, too, are open to the public.
